| Education Ph.D., Instructional Science, Brigham Young University, 1994 B.A., History (Chinese minor), Brigham Young University, 1986 Professional Activities Jane joined the Faculty Center in 1996. Among her primary initiatives, she developed the BYU Faculty Development Series , BYU's premiere faculty development program for new faculty. Jane directs this 18-month program which is offered annually to all new faculty hires. It is designed to assist new faculty in building a strong foundation for quality teaching, scholarship, and citizenship at BYU. Jane also directs the Scholarship Workshop and other faculty development initiatives. Prior to joining the Faculty Center, Jane served as Assistant to the Director of the Center for the Study of Values in Organizations and as a consultant to the Dean's Office of Fine Arts and Communications. She has also served as Assistant to Associate Academic Vice President Alan Wilkins. In these capacities, Jane's work centered on helping BYU faculty members combine strong religious faith with rigorous academic discipline. In her work at the Faculty Center, Jane continues to develop ways to help faculty build upon the unique mission of BYU and effectively bring together the gospel of Jesus Christ and the academic mission of the university.
