Faculty Development Plan—Examples

Several BYU faculty members have generously provided their faculty development plans to be shared with other faculty members. Please note that a faculty develoment plan is, by nature, a work-in-progress, not a polished document. These plans are here to help you think about how you want to construct your faculty development plan. Check here for some general information on the purpose of faculty development plans.

These example documents are not "university-sanctioned models;" no such models exist. The only defined university-wide guidelines are in the "University Policy on Faculty Rank and Status." Some departments may have their own guidelines for creating faculty development plans and may call them by different names. Faculty members are advised to check with their departments and colleges for further information.
